thresh/thrash
...Onions says thrash has now taken over, by vowel drift, e/a, thresh(E)=thaerscan/therscan(OE). well, saying so doesn't make it so. thresh(E)=th/tequi/tl(Letra)=tequitl(N)=quid(E)pro quo(Lat) of communal labor,=t(h)e quit/l(E)=uitequi(N)=nitla o nic-uitequi(N)=desgranar golpeando/batiendo(sp)= thresh(E).
.....thrash(E) is the result of an English dipthong, ae, but, thresh(E)=ui/tequi(N)=true root.
however, th/t/tlac/s/sh(Letra)=tlacatl(N)=body, i.e., where thrashing takes place. everything has
a form, e.g., tlaca(N)=lac(Fr)=lake(E)=lago(sp), but grain=capollotl(N)= ca/g(r)ape(E)=g(r)a/in=
reversal=in capollotl/g(r)a-in(E)=ingrained(E), i.e., the article, in(N), last and first in the same word. hmmm, thrash=tlaza(N)=throw down,=raza. tlacatl and tlaza can both be tied to trace,
but tlacatl(N) is a noun of diverse meaning, e.g., larch/lark/lank/lack, better an active word
like thrash come from a verb, although, Amaterasu(J/solar)=Paper body/tlaca, Paper trace/tlaza.
